Education and Experience

Tom is completing his Master of Arts in Counseling from St. Edward’s University having completed his BA at Stetson University in Florida and a previous master’s degree in health administration at Baylor University. Tom is retired from the United States Army where he served as a hospital commander and a health administrator. Tom has been involved with the Austin Stone through the Men’s and Women’s Development Program and the Equipped To Counsel Program. He currently serves in the Kids Ministry at the St. Johns congregation of Austin Stone. With biblical truth and relevant psychological concepts, Tom looks to carefully work to help people trust God completely and focus on Jesus Christ as our great counselor and healer.

Tom has experience working with trauma and post-traumatic stress as well as anxiety and depression. He is also experienced in personal and career development, grief and loss, life transitions, and addictions. 

He is available to work with men and women, couples (dating, engaged, or married), and families.

Personal

Tom is married to his wife, Ellie, and they enjoy spending time with their children, grandchildren, and other family members and friends here in Austin, Chicago, Mesa, Arizona and Washington, D.C.
