Education & Experience

Jared received his Master of Arts in Counseling Psychology from Trinity Evangelical Divinity School in 2011. While in Chicago, he was a counseling intern at a large urban hospital and gained experience in an outpatient behavioral health unit working predominately with adolescents and young adults suffering from mild to chronic mental illnesses. In addition to this, Jared also served as a counseling intern at a Christian private practice in the Chicago area where he was able to do work in couples and individual therapy as well as conflict mediation. For the last 4 years, while in Dallas, Texas, Jared has served as a counselor and as the clinical director at Gaston House, a transitional facility for young men moving out of primary treatment for drug and alcohol addiction. In addition to this, Jared has worked as a counselor at West Counseling and continued his work with individuals, couple and families.

Interests & Specialties

Jared offers counseling services to adolescents, families, couples and individuals who may find themselves struggling with depression, anxiety disorders, sexuality issues, identity development, intimacy issues, grief, faith crisis issues, addictions, and those who are in conflicted situations both on interpersonal and intrapersonal levels. Jared has begun his certification in EFCT (Emotionally Focused Couples Therapy) and hopes to complete his certification within the next couple of years.

When it comes to work, Jared longs to participate and see people experience healing from the one true Physician…Jesus. When he is not working, Jared is a husband and a father. He loves to run, read, cycle, paint, and find ways to spend his vacation time in the outdoors of Colorado.
