Education and Experience
Ben is currently the Lead Pastor of Shuswap Community Church and has been involved in pastoral ministry for 20+Yrs. After earning a Masters of Missional Leadership he began exploring gospel-centred, clinically informed biblical counseling in order to serve people in the church and the broader community dealing with a variety of issues. He has been counseling formally since 2010.
Interests & Specialties
Having a breadth of experiencing working with men, women, couples, and youth, Ben specializes in discerning the source of pain and brokenness while connecting it to God’s redemptive story in order to give hope. He particularly enjoys helping those facing deep grief or unresolved trauma; and is passionate about orphan care and attachment disorders. Ben also finds working families to be both challenging and rewarding.
Personal
He and his wife Kirstin have been married for over 20 years, and have four teenage and college age kids. In his spare time he enjoys running, grilling and coaching minor football.
